Indian Grand Design to destabilize Nepal

Nepal is being trapped by India. India want to disintegrate our sovereign country by illegally pushing up Terain parties. And, Nepalese big political parties either they donot understand the grand design from Indian side or they are also trapped on their bait. It is hard to say but it sure and certain that India has ill intention on the issues of Nepal.

India as the unwanted and bad neighbour always troubling Nepal and nepalese people. To tolerate all their nonsense, is our supressed mindset in on hand and in the other hand our compulsion also since we are locked by Giant India in three sides. All our political leader are trained in India and they have somewhat influenced by Indian imperialism.
India has the ill intention in Terai. They know that Terai is strategically important place for Nepal since most of its income comes from their. This place is also important for India. Terai is the most essential place if they want to get benefit from our incomparable hydro resource. Unless and until, they are not able to establish the puppet in Terai, they are not able to build big dams in Koshi, Karnali and Gandaki. Alone the Koshi barrage, which they want to construct the biggest dam in south Asia, would not be made unless the governement donot agree. For that also, the Bihar government and India Government creating hue and cry in the terai. They are promoting terror in the Terai specially in the parts nearer to Koshi river. The socalled leaders of Terain guerilla organisation is living in India with support from Indian government.
Our leader made blunder mistakes when they did 12 points agreement in Indian soil. From there, the infiltration of Indian imperialism, became highly visible and stronger. In the pressure and flattery of Indian government and the socalled movement from Terain parties which is actually sponsored by Indian government, government provided citizenship to 4 million people, most of them are Indian and they donot have faith on Nepalese government. On the basis of these, Madhesi parties got big amount of votes in CA election.
Now they are demanding the whole terai as one state and they want also the self decisive rights. Who can tolerate the ill intension from the Indian imperor, voices out by their puppets in Nepal. Nepalese and Nepalese well wisher can die but donot want to surrender in front of them. We will never step behind from sacrificing for the sake of motherland. We need only that our politician should strongly say that they donot want the infiltration from Indian side.
Indian government donot want the stability in Nepal. They have fear with nepalese peace and prosperity. They allowed Maoist to stay safe when they were killing people in Nepal. They are now providing safe land to others who are killing maoist and other general people. They donot want the strong leadership in Nepal hence they want to throw Girija from power. They are lobbying for Maoist chairman to be next prime minister in the one hand and escalating Terain parties to stop Maoist to come into power. What a double standard. At the moment also, India has been encroaching Nepalese lands in many places. They are keeping illegally their barracks in Kalapani, Nepal. Why donot these political leaders who is asking for one terai, one state strongly ask Indian government to go back from encroached land. They are power broker and they donot have love towards their land hence they donot have morals to ask with their boss to stay behind.
All what India doing in tiny country like Nepal is only troubling. So, it is time to stay firmly against Indian imperialism and fight with them. We respect Indian people with whom we have century long harmonious relationship. Only the problems we are facing from their rulers. Probably, they know quite well that Nepalese people like to sacrifice for the nation rather than surrender themselves. If the situation continues, Nepalese people will blast as the dynamite in Janapad and in Raisin Hill. Then, the loss to both of countries would be incalculable. We hope and pray for not to see that day.

With few attempts, we are being able to get attraction from all over the world. This site is going to be seen 10,000 times this week if the trend continues. The statistic shows it has around 50 visitors per day. As it is my first attempt for blog making, it seems quite worthy for me and for our team.People from all over the world visit thisblog and read it. People from all continents, and almost from all countries (70%) used to view this site. What a interesting thing for us! I hope it is really helping people to get some informations related to Nepal, day to day events from all over the world and lastely the Nepalese people who are staying here in Goettingen, Germany. I think this is a success eventhough it's tiny. During this one year of blog journey, I tried my best to include the information about Nepal ranging from politics to sports, culture to customs etc.
Once, I went to one German Governmental Office for official purposes, the office head while talking about Nepal and Nepalese, in the beginning didnot know about Nepal and Nepalese, then opened up his internet and looked into google.com for Nepalese in Germany and Nepalese in Goettingen, then he found out lots of information about Nepalese studying in Goettingen. He was talking about Nepal and Nepalese on the basis of our site with me. Interestingly, he didnot
knew that I have posted almost all information on this blog. While departing he printed one page and gave it to me to look this site if I want to know more about nepalese in Goettingen. He was recommending our site to me! what a interesting thing!
That convinced me that our site has been working as the little window to let the world to know about us.

12 years' old boy: the real Hero of life

This is the photo of 12 years old (class one student at government school)Nepalese real Hero and his father. Why do I call this boy as a Hero? He is not the actor, but the rescuer of 2 and half years old girl from the mouth of death.

The unknown girl named Ardhana, was unknowingly dropped down, and stopped in between narrow gorge of Seti river. When their parents knew that their beloved daughter has dropped down into narrow river, and she has been crying for help. They tried all the possible things to rescue her. The experts were summoned from capital, the army men and policemen all tried to rescue her. But, the gorge was so narrow, no one can reach there. But even after 22 hours of repeated attempts, the rescuers weren't able to bring the child back up. As the gorge was very narrow, the rescue teams were having great trouble in entering it to the depth where they thought they would have any chance to save the child.

On this difficult situation, this 12 years old Kamal Nepali, came as the angel and went down with the help of rope. She reached near to the girl, asked her as Nanu (sister) and fed her some juice, then put her into bag and took him out succesfully. This rare event has made him very popular. His brevity and his kindness to rescue other by putting his own life at risk should be respected. He has been one of the most popular man in Nepal at the moment.
Aradhana was immediately rushed to Manipal Teaching Hospital by ambulance. She was admitted to Intensive Care Unite at first. But later doctors involved in her treatment said that she didn't have any serious internal or external injuries and her condition was normal.

Photo exhibition about Nepalese Women in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

At the heart of Amsterdam, while roaming aimlessly, my eyes stucked in a place where we saw some known faces. These faces were not real ones but the photos of Nepalese women. It was an open gallery photo exhition named "First Ladies" displaying the difficult situation of women from all over the world, where the pityful condition of Nepalese women got major focus. Those photos were not from the most vulnerable women, but shows the somewhat middle class women siutation in rural part of Nepal, mainly from Kalikot, one of the remote district of Nepal.

PM Girija Prasad Scolded Forestry DG

Present Director General of Department of Forests, Dr. Keshav Raj Kandel has been directly scolded by Prime minister of Nepal, Girija Prasad Koirala. PM might have been wrongly advised about the action taken by Department of Forests to the illegal mine operator inside Community Forests. The DG rightly and courageously defended the action taken against to the socalled powerful party leader from Nepali Congress. Since DG Kandel is one of the most honest and brilliant forester, he could show his courage first disobeying the PM's ill intention and second by public disclosing the wrong intentions of PM and wrong happenings.

I have several times also argued with DG Kandel in different issues when I felt I was right or at least my intention was right. Everytime, I felt that he has semisinuous feeling or he himself only finds the righteous man, but when I read this article about his right arguement against the one of the most powerful man in the history of Nepal, I have been his true fan and compel me to change my minds. He has won our heart and souls. We should have some courageous forester (professional) who could argued with anyone in right matter. We salute you Dr. Kandel for your efforts to make our department untouched by any illegal and uninteded forces. Amsterdam

Red Light District in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is famous for its canal and water transport (tourism) The famous Nieucastel.
Amsterdam is famous for its monumental buildings and RLD. The country is one of the richest country in the world and has plenty of things to show to the world.
The city is famous for several museums. More than 15 world renownde museums are there. The canals, cultures and creativity are among the prides of Amsterdam.
One thing, I didnot like about Amsterdam is that it is too free. There is nothing bounded. Women staying inside the window showing are very personal organs and asking for pedestrian to come inside for few euros, seems the black spot on the forehead of rich and developed Netherlands. Free sale of drugs, ´mauriana etc. is also to be criticised however they have maintained crime rate quite low even in the situation such as brothel, drugs use to promote.

Nepal Counts on Science to Turn Struggling Country Around

This is the article published about Nepal in famous scientific Jounal "SCIENCE"
By JERRY GUO
KATHMANDU—Nepal’s new leaders have a surprising strategy for making the poor Himalayan nation’s transition from monarchy to republic a success: They plan to shower money on science. High on the agenda of Nepal’s new legislative body, the Constituent Assembly, is to approve next month a $125 million budget for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology (MEST)—a whopping 12-fold increase over 2007. “This is so much money that scientists may not [be able to] spend it all,” says science ministry senior adviser Devi Paudyal. Perhaps most remarkable is the source of the promised windfall: the Maoists, a group once labeled as terrorists that won the largest share of assembly seats in elections in April. In a manifesto published shortly before the election, the Maoists declared that “Without science, a country cannot develop.” Before launching a bloody, decade-long insurgency, the group’s leader, Prachanda, had earned a degree in agricultural science from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science in Rampur and taught science in a prep school. Some in Nepal’s tiny scientific community are cautiously optimistic. “Past governments were not aware about the value of science,” says botanist Dayananda Bajracharya, a science adviser to Girija Koirala, the current prime minister. “The new government has promised they will give more attention to science. Hopefully, they will keep their word.” Others say they will believe it when they see it. “Most of the political parties talk about these things, but when it comes to reality, the budget is always full,” says Pramod Jha, a botanist at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu. Based on World Bank figures on research and development spending as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP), Nepal ranks behind the island nation of Mauritius as well as Burundi, the country with the world’s lowest per capita GDP. Nepal’s first university, Tribhuvan, opened its doors only in 1959, and the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) was established in 1982. One restraint on scientific development is an unchecked brain drain by Nepal’s few rising science stars, says Bajracharya. The Maoists plan to bet heavily on biotechnology, an area the previous government tried to nurture. Last year, NAST broke ground on a three-story biotech lab in Kathmandu that it hopes to complete by summer 2009; MEST plans to begin construction of a national Biotechnology Research and Development Center later this year. This fall, Tribhuvan, Nepal’s top university, will open a graduate program in biotechnology.
These efforts are primarily intended to exploit Nepal’s biological riches. Scientists here in recent years have launched programs to find medicinal plants and pinpoint active compounds. But with scant tools for molecular analyses, “we haven’t been able to do much,” says NAST Vice Chancellor Hom Bhattarai. “We want to get modern equipment.”
With Nepal recently beset by gasoline and electricity shortages, a large portion of the supersized science budget will be devoted to research on clean energy, says Paudyal. One project the new government intends to fund is development of Jatropha curcas, a variety of a shrub used for biofuel, which is better acclimated to high altitude. In the long term, raising Nepal’s science game will require reducing the country’s appalling 51% illiteracy rate—the 15th highest in the world, according to the United Nations. “The public at large thinks science is too sophisticated for a country like Nepal,” says Bajracharya. It may take another (science) revolution to change that.

What is the Gorkhaland Movement?

Gorkaland is the name given to the area around Darjeeling and the Duars in north West Bengal in India. Residents of the area, mostly Gorkhas have long demanded a separate state for themselves to preserve their Nepali identity and to improve their socio-economic conditions.
History of Gorkhaland movement in India:
Historically, Darjeeling and its surrounding terai areas formed a part of the then Kirat kingdom called Bijaypur. After the disintegration of the Bijaypur kingdom, it fell to Sikkim and Bhutan. From 1790-1816, Darjeeling and its immediate contiguous area were overrun by the Gorkhas of Nepal. After the Anglo Nepalese War (1814-1815), the Treaty of Sigauli was signed between the Gorkhas and the East India Company. Darjeeling was taken from the Gorkhas of Nepal by the British and returned to the Sikkimese after the Treaty of Titaliya. In 1835, Col Lloyd became the representative of East India Company for Darjeeling. During his tenure Darjeeling was annexed into the British Indian Empire. However the original map of Darjeeling came into existence only after the induction of Kalimpong and Duars area after the Anlgo-Bhutanese war of 1864 (Treaty of Sinchula). Darjeeling as we know of today was organised in 1866. The ethnic identity "Gorkha" comes from the district of Gorkha within Nepal which was the kingdom of the Prithvi Narayan Shah. In 1835 there were 10,000 Gorhkas in the Darjeeling Hills. By the start of the twentieth century, Gorkhas made a modest socio-economic advance through government service, and a small anglicized elite developed among them. Following this in 1907, the first ever demand for “a separate administrative setup” for the District of Darjeeling was placed before the British government by the “leaders of the hill people”. The “Hill people” here referred to the Lepchas, Bhutias and the Gorkhas. Their main reason for doing so was their growing sense of insecurity against the educated hordes of the plain. The demand was ignored. In 1917 the Hillmen's Association came into being and petitioned for the administrative separation of Darjeeling in 1917 and again in 1930 and 1934. In 1923 the Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League (All India Gorkha League) was formed at Dehradun. It soon spread to Darjeeling. On 15 May 1943, All India Gorkha League came into existence in Darjeeling. It gained additional support after World War II with the influx of ex-soldiers from the Gurkha regiments who had been exposed to nationalist movements in Southeast Asia during service there. On 19 December 1946, the party's heart and soul, D.S. Gurung even made a plea in the Constitution Hall before the Constituent Assembly for recognition of Gorkhas as a minority community "Sir, the demand of the Gurkhas is that they must be recognized as a minority community and that they must have adequate representation in the Advisory Committee that is going to be formed. When the Anglo-Indians with only 1 lakh 42 thousand population have been recognized as a minority community, and Scheduled Castes among the Hindus have been recognized as a separate community, I do not see any reason why Gurkhas with 30 lakhs population should not be recognized as such." But leaders within its own ranks such as Randhir Subba, were not satisfied with this meagre demand. Soon after the death of D.S. Gurung, Randhir Subba raised the demand for a separate state within the framework of the Indian Constitution called Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand could be composed one of the following ways.
Darjeeling district only or
Darjeeling district and Sikkim only or
Darjeeling district, Sikkim, Jalpaiguri, Dooars and Coochbehar or
Darjeeling district, Jalpaiguri and Coochbehar
This movement was discussed even by the masses. Initially Randhir Subba was in favor of a militant movement but was dissuaded by other leaders. The movement never gained momentum as its leaders were moblised to other purposes. On April 6, 1947, two Gorkhas Ganeshlal Subba and Ratanlal Brahmin members of the undivided CPI (Communist Party of India) submitted a Quixotic memorandum to Jawaharlal Nehru, the then Vice President of the Interim Government for the creation of Gorkhasthan – an independent country comprising of the present day Nepal, Darjeeling District and Sikkim (excluding its present North District). The demand was more of an attention seeker. It never was genuine. During the 1940s, the Communist Party of India (CPI) organized Gorkha tea workers. In presentations to the States Reorganisation Commission in 1954, the CPI favored regional autonomy for Darjeeling within West Bengal, with recognition of Nepali as a Scheduled Language. The All India Gorkha League preferred making the area a union territory under the Central government. In all from the 1950's to the 1985, first the CPI (1954), then the Congress (1955), then the triumvirate of Congress, CPI and AIGL (1957), then the United front (1967 & 1981), then again Congress (1968) and finally CPI(M) 1985 dangled along with the carrot of Regional Autonomy for Darjeeling.
(We extend our supports to their rights and demands).

Bid to take away Hitler's gift foiled

BY KIRAN CHAPAGAIN
KATHMANDU, June 16 - Some former royals allegedly tried to take away Daimler Benz, Hitler's gift to King Tribhuvan, from the Narayanhiti Palace just a couple of days before Gyanendra Shah left the palace but were prevented from doing so, our palace source said. "An attempt was made to take the Daimler Benz out of the palace in middle of the night last Sunday, but the bid was foiled after the security there did not allow a crane to enter the palace premises," the source told the Post on Sunday, seeking anonymity.
Even government sources confirmed that the bid was foiled. But both the palace and government sources refused to identify the former royals who wanted to take away the antique 1938-model Mercedes Benz that is inside the palace, which was turned into a public museum on Sunday.
Officials said that they are planning to keep the vintage car inside the museum as a show piece to visitors. According to officials, the car is in a very bad condition. Before it was brought inside the palace three years ago, the car was in the garage of Thapathali Engineering Campus and was being used for training mechanics.
In the meantime, according to Reuters, the car was manually carried to Nepal by scores of laborers for several days from Nepal's southern plains to Kathmandu in 1940, when there were no roads. Tribhuvan, grandfather of Gyanendra, used the car when the Kathmandu Valley had no other motor transport, the British wire reported.
But after Tribhuvan's death in the 1950s, the car was left to gather dust in the premises of the Thapathali Engineering Campus.

Sexual Education from School level in Goettingen, Germany

These are the some photos which I took recently from one of the schools here in Goettingen. In front of School main entrance, they have installed the sculpture showing the loves, affection and kissing. In the beginning, it amazed me but when I thought that we had also the course on Reproductive system in School but none of teacher dared to teach it. They used to escape from these chapters. But, here in Goettingen, they are showing these and encourage students to learn it deeply since it is one of the most important part of life. What a difference between us and them!

Exclusive interview with Prachanda by Reputed German magazene

Former underground Maoist rebel leader Prachanda is set to become Nepal's first democratically elected prime minister. He spoke with SPIEGEL about political violence in Nepal, his relationship with the US and how being a rebel interfered with his family life.

(Photo: Pushpa Kamal Dahal, better known as Prachanda, is a former rebel leader and chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist). Now he is set to become the first democratically elected prime minister of Nepal, in the second week of June.)

SPIEGEL: Nepal’s 240-year-old monarchy was abolished last Wednesday. Even as thousands of Nepalese celebrated the birth of the new republic with fireworks, music and dancing, seven bombs exploded in the capital Katmandu. Your decade-long Nepalese People’s War saw more than 10,000 people killed and only officially ended two years ago. Will the violence ever end?
Prachanda:
Those explosions were just minor incidents and, fortunately, there were no casualties. Nobody in Nepal is discontent with the abolition of the monarchy. On the contrary, ever since we won the elections earlier this year, everyone has been celebrating a political festival of sorts and really welcomes the new republic.
SPIEGEL: A Katmandu businessman was brutally murdered by your Maoist comrades only last month. You apologized to his widow on behalf of your People’s Army and announced that the family of the slain man would be compensated. But coming from a future prime minister, surely that’s too little -- what about a judicial inquiry and adequate punishment for the murderers?
Prachanda:
Please -- Rome was not built in a day. After decades of ruthless feudalism, it will take a while to properly establish the rule of law. A commission has already been set up to investigate that murder. My Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) is the largest of the four parties in the new Constituent Assembly. We already have the mammoth task of rewriting the constitution ahead of us. I am very aware that, as head of the largest party, the lion’s share of the responsibility to see all this through is mine.
SPIEGEL: Hindu extremists in Nepal are said to be behind last week's blasts. They are unhappy at the dismantling of the world’s last Hindu kingdom. But even prominent members of Nepal’s business community consider it unwise of the new Constituent Assembly to have done away with King Gyanendra altogether. Lastly, you seem to forget that millions of poor Nepalese still believe that the king of Nepal has always been an incarnation of Vishnu, the most important Hindu god.
Prachanda: That's a huge exaggeration. First, it's just a handful of people who are Hindu chauvinists. Second, this business about the king -- and especially Gyanendra -- being an incarnation of Vishnu is an illusion. Ever since the massacre in 2001 of the former king, Birendra -- who is Gyanendra’s brother -- along with his entire family, most Nepalese believe that Gyanendra is no divine avatar but a murderer. Still, who says Gyanendra cannot remain a businessman, even as an ordinary citizen? If he contributes to Nepal’s gross domestic product, all the better.
SPIEGEL: That’s very generous of you. But a former head of state is hardly likely to be content with tending to his business interests in tobacco and hotels.
Prachanda:
So, what does he want? To form a new political party? Absolutely no problem. If he wishes to compete with us, I would only welcome it.
SPIEGEL: Gyanendra has been given two weeks to vacate the Narayanhiti palace, the traditional royal residence. And yet, hundreds of Nepalese, euphoric over the formation of the new republic, demonstrated outside the palace last Wednesday and demanded that Gyanendra move out straightaway. Why? Are there any signs that the deposed king -- along with loyal members of the Nepal Army who are guarding him -- will conspire against the new assembly in the coming weeks?
Prachanda: I don’t think so. Within hours of the formation of the new republic, the royal flag was brought down, and the new flag was hoisted atop the palace. That was a clear sign of Gyanendra's acceptance of the new order. I will appeal to the Nepalese not to use any improper methods to push the king to vacate the palace straightaway. I am sure he will leave by himself: in a peaceful, graceful and dignified manner.
SPIEGEL: It has been two years since you joined the peace process and voluntarily placed most of your arms and 20,000 Maoist cadres under UN surveillance. It has been just months since international observers confirmed that the elections -- which you won with a majority -- were free and fair. And yet, Nepal’s Maoists remain on the United States' list of terrorist groups.
Prachanda:
I met with several American officials last week. They assured me that we will soon be removed from that list and that Washington is looking forward to cooperating with us.
SPIEGEL: You've gone from being a powerful underground rebel to an even more powerful future prime minister of the new republic of Nepal. How does that feel?
Prachanda:
I am happiest for the people of Nepal and their liberation from feudalism. It is their historic victory. Personally, it’s more complicated. As a rebel, I hardly had time for my wife and three children. Now, I have the serious feeling that my family life is going to get even more complicated. But I suppose that is the price I must pay.
