TEEJ: the greatest festival of women

Teej, the greatest festival of Nepalese Women, is going to be occured 14th of September. In this Festival, Nepalese women use to visit her parents house. During the festival, they share their year round difficulties with their family and plan for future also. They share sad and happy moments in songs. They sing about their expectation, their Pida and all.

On the eve of TEEJ, their brothers and parents offer them nice foods especially made of milk, ghee etc. They use to wear red cloths, Sari Blouse and jewellery. Nowadays, this occasions has been changed as to demonstrate their well off, wealth to others by wearing heavy and expensive jewelleries and cloths.

As every year, Goettengeli Nepalese Samaj is going to organise small programme to celebrate TEEJ festival here in Goettingen. All sisters and our members are invited to participate the programme. Most probably the programme is going to be held in my apartment Albrecht Thaer Weg 24d/11, on coming Thursday. Suggestions are welcome to make this programme grand success! All friends residing nearby in Gottingen are invited to join the teej programme.
