Tropentag Conference 2009

The Tropentag 2009 congress was just completed yesterday. It was organized from 6-8 October 2009 in Hamburg. Hamburg is one of the big city situated in northern part of of Germany. In the conferences, about 700 Professors, Researchers, Academicians, Students, Activists, Practitioners .... were actively participated. Many of them presented their research findings through oral and poster presentations. Major focus of this conference was "International Research on Food Security, Natural Resources Management and Rural Development" in Tropical countries and divided into 8 different themes. The organizer of this important congress were BMZ, GTZ/BEAF, ATSAF, the Eiselen-Stiftung, the DAAD and the DFG.

In this conference, about 25 Nepalese professors, researchers and students also participated.These participants were come from forestry, agriculture, animal science, social science and so on. They also presented their research findings and experiences through oral and the poster presentations. The next "Tropentag 2010" is due for 14-16 September 2010 in Zurich, Switzerland.
