I have written this short introductory notes about the vegetative methods of controlling Soil Erosion in 1998. This is written in very simple languages however in many places we can see many technical jargons. The main objective of the article was just convey the message about the simple way to reduce soil erosion by using the locally available materials. Working as the programme officer in the Myagdi district, I have found that people thinks that we can stop soil erosion only by putting gabion and stones and there used to be thousands of demands and petitions to the district development committe, so I wrote this short article to emphasize the vegetative methods of controlling soil erosion and small land slides.
