2 of our Nepalese colleagues arrived in Goettingen

On the first of August, 2008 our two nepalese friends arrived in Goettingen to join the M.Sc. in Tropical and International Forestry (TIF 2008-2010 ). Bharat Thapa from Jumla district and Dev Raj Gautam from Kaski district, have got DAAD scholarship to study TIF in world renowned Goettingen University. Both of the friends have long experiences working in forestry sector in Nepal. Working in the Governmental sector and also in Non Governmental Organisation, they have gained tremendous practical experiences in the forestry sector in Nepal. Bharat Thapa was working in the District Forest Office, Jumla and Dev Raj Gautam was working in CARE Nepal at Gorkha district of Nepal.
They will start their Deutsche language course from Monday (4 August) and the language course will run for 6 week. Their academic course on TIF will start from 15 October, 2008. Both of the friends have been staying in Albrecht Thaer Weg 12 a (Room number 08 for Bharat and 508 for Dev Raj jee).
We would like to extend our best wishes to both of them. We hope that their stay in Goettingen would be milestone in their professional and academic life. Their stay would be expected to be the most pleasant and fruitful.
