Worse than the vulture, I finished my own family, then King and royals to be crowned as the king of Nepal, but ......may be due to their curses, my regime is going to be ended today. Not only my regime, the whole Shah dynasty rulling (let's say sucking the blood from people as leeches) for 240 years is going to be over. What a sad news?! People will not let me escape even after implementation of Republic Nepal. How poor I am, I can do nothing just to obey every order given by Constituent Assembly! The newly elected Constituent assembly in Nepal is going to implement the already declared Republican and Federal Nepal. Then King, Gyanendra and his son Paras are among the most notorious people in Nepal. There ill activities and autocratic rules pave out people' provocation ultimately meaning to their regime end.
We on the eve of this hitoric day, would like to welcome Federal Republic Nepal. We would like to salute all the martyrs who fought for this victory.

Our beloved daughter Aditi recovered from illness

Our beloved daughter Aditi Devkota has been completely well now. Since few months, she has been troubled with minor health illness such as stomachache, fever, flu etc. Due this problems, she was admitted for 2 weeks in Goettingen University Teaching Hospital where she was treated well since this is one of the best hospital with full of experts and all modern equipments available in the world.
She was examined there and found no big problems. Even when she was in Hospital she was seemed normal however sometimes she used to cry due to stomachache and insisted to leave hospital as the soonest possible.
She has already discharged from Hospital last week and now she is completely fine and normal. Nowadays, she has already started playing, eating and all the normal activities of child. She brought lots of smiles in our faces by recovering well. We are very happy to share the well recovery of her health. We hope and pray for her better health.

त्यस्तै कतिपयले जानेर या नजानेर पार्टर्ीी दोस्रो हुने दौडमा बाबुराम भनेर 'कु-प्रचार' गर्न खोज्दैछन् । उहा“को व्यक्तित्व, स्तर, क्षमता, बौद्धिकता, त्याग कसैसामु छिपेको छैन । उहा“को जीवन खुला किताबसरह छ । अनि किन हामी भट्टर्राईको त्यागलाई गिज्याउने कोसिस गर्दैछौं - किन हामी हाम्रो दर्रि्रपनलाई उदांगो पार्नतिर उद्यत छौं - नेपाली क्रान्ति र जनयुद्धमा सबै नेता/कार्यकर्ताले उत्तिकै त्याग, बलिदान गरेका छौं, बौद्धिकतामा पनि उत्तिकै विकास गरेका छौं । क्रान्तिलाई यो उचाइमा पुर्‍याउन हामी सबैको बराबरी मिहेनत होला । तर माओवादी अध्यक्ष प्रचण्ड र वरिष्ठ नेता भट्टर्राईको एउटा कुशल नेतृत्वमा हुनुपर्ने क्षमता, व्यक्तित्व, बौद्धिकता र त्याग हामी छुन सक्दैनौं ।
त्यस्तै उहा“लाई 'भारतपरस्त' भनेर अर्को आरोप लगाउने गरिएको छ । यो आफैंमा पाखण्ड र आफूमा रहेको अक्षमता र हीनताबोधको अभिव्यक्ति हो । कोही भारत बसेर पढ्यो भन्दैमा उसलाई भारतपरस्त भन्न मिल्छ - कहा“को राजनीतिक नैतिकता हो यो - यो आरोप राजनीतिक पर्ूवाग्रह सिवाय अरू केही हुनै सक्दैन । उहा“को बौद्धिकता र क्षमतास“ग प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न नसक्नेहरूले डाह, जलन र्रर् इष्र्याका कारणले पनि यो आरोप लगाउने गरेका छन् । यो आरोप प्रमाणसहित पुष्टि गर्न हामी चुनौती दिन चाहन्छौं । उहा“को राजनीतिक छवि र उनको बढ्दो लोकप्रियताबाट अत्तालिएका 'बेइमान क्रान्तिकारी'हरूद्वारा अरूलाई झूटो आरोप लगाएर आफूलाई बढी क्रान्तिकारी देखाउन जनतालाई छरिएको भ्रमसिवाय यो अरू केही हुनै सक्दैन । राष्ट्रियता र राष्ट्रिय एकताको पक्षमा वैचारिक र व्यावहारिक रूपले स्पष्ट दृष्टि भएको व्यक्ति उहा“ हुनुहुन्छ । मोहनविक्रमले 'गद्दार पुष्पलाल' भन्ने पुस्तक लेख्ने सर्न्दर्भमा पनि पुष्पलाललाई 'भारतपरस्त' र 'कांग्रेसपरस्त' भनेर आरोप लगाएका थिए । उनको त्यो आरोप र विरोध इतिहासले गलत थियो भन्ने पुष्टि गरिसकेको छ । त्यसकारण राजनीतिक रूपले वैचारिक प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न नसक्नेहरूले यो वा ऊ परस्त, दलाल र गद्दार भनेर आफूलाई सही सावित गर्न प्रयत्न गरे पनि इतिहासले स्वयम् उनीहरूलाई गलत सावित गरिदिएको इतिहास प्रस्टै छ । त्यस्तै 'नया“ मोहनविक्रम'हरू नेता भट्टर्राईलाई 'नया“ गद्दार पुष्पलाल' बनाउने व्यापक तयारीमा छन् । त्यसकारण कुनै व्यक्तिलाई कतिपय सर्न्दर्भमा कसले के भन्छ/भन्दैन भन्ने प्रश्न प्रधान होइन, उसले के गर्छ/गर्दैन भन्ने प्रश्नका आधारमा उसको मूल्यांकन गरिनर्ुपर्छ । भट्टर्राईले अहिलेसम्म गरेका कामहरूको आधारमा भारतपरस्त भनेर पुष्टि गर्नसक्ने प्रमाण कसैसित छैन र कसैले पुष्टि पनि गर्न सक्दैन किनकि झूटोको प्रमाण हुनै सक्दैन । निरंकुश तानाशाही पञ्चायती व्यवस्था र राजतन्त्र अन्त्यका लागि नेपाली कांग्रेसस“ग कार्यगत एकता गर्नर्ुपर्छ भनेकै कारणले मोहनविक्रमले पुष्पलाललाई 'गद्दार' भनेका थिए । अहिलेसम्म पुष्पलालको विचारले समग्र राजनीतिक आन्दोलनको नेतृत्व गरेको कुरा ०४६ सालको आन्दोलन र १२- बु“दे समझदारीदेखि अहिलेसम्मका राजनीतिक घटनाक्रमले पुष्टि भएको छ । पछिल्लो चरणमा नेपालमा सामन्तवाद र राजतन्त्रको अन्त्य गरेर संघीय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र संस्थागत गर्ने कार्यनीतिको अग्रणी नेता डा बाबुराम भट्टर्राई नै भएको स्पष्ट छ ।
१२- बु“दे समझदारी र अहिलेसम्मको कार्यनीतिको सफल प्रयोग गर्ने एकजना प्रमुख व्यक्तित्वको रूपमा पनि उहा“को नाम आउ“छ । राजतन्त्र अन्त्य गर्न र गणतन्त्र ल्याउन विभिन्न राजनीतिक पार्टर्ीीथै विदेशी शक्तिकेन्द्रहरूबीच कुशलतापर्ूवक वैचारिक सहमति कायम गर्न महत्त्वपर्ूण्ा जिम्मेवारी उहा“ले निर्वाह गरेको जगजाहेरै छ । त्यसैकारणले उहा“को वैचारिक र कूटनीतिक कुशलतासामु पराजित मानसिकताबाट ग्रसित व्यक्तिहरूले उहा“लाई यो वा ऊ भनेर चरित्रहत्या गर्ने प्रयत्न गरेका छन् । त्यसैले सबै सच्चा क्रान्तिकारीहरूले यस्ता 'नक्कली क्रान्तिकारी'हरूको षडयन्त्रलाई बेनकाव गर्न सकिएन भने उहा“को मात्र होइन, सिङ्गो माओवादी आन्दोलन र जनयुद्धकै अपमान हुनेछ । भट्टर्राईजस्ता नेता क्रान्तिकारी आन्दोलनमा पाउनु ठूलो कुरा हो । उहा“को सम्मान र उहा“का विचार संरक्षण गर्नुको सट्टा पर्दाभित्र बसेर उहा“को बदनाम गर्नुले के क्रान्ति सम्पन्न गर्न सकिएला त - यस्तो बा“दरे प्रवृत्ति किन - एकपटक सम्बन्धित सबैले व्यक्तिगत स्वार्थ र पदलोलुपतामा नपरी सिङ्गो क्रान्ति र जनताको बलिदान सम्भिmएर गम्भीर भएर सोच्ने हो भने सत्यतथ्यको बोध हुनेछ ।

Ajaya Jang Kunwar has been conferred Ph.D. today, just one hour before. It was very nice ceremony. Amid of big crowd, he has been conferred the Ph.D. degree. It was the matter of pride to all of us. Right now there is big party being organised by him to his faculty members and friends. We congratulate him for this success!

My first experience in the Church

It is the first time in my life, I attended church today. I went to Christophorus church in Goettingen, to attend the Fixton programme. It was the international pray programme with some connection to Christian Festival etc...

It was my wish to attend the church programme since long time. I really wanted to know and experience the Christian culture and religion. Since we are in the Christian majority country with lots of beautiful churches, I donot want to miss the opportunity to experience this activities, but I feared with being blamed many nonsenses from Hindu fundamentalists and feared to blamed as the opportunists however there is no other opportunities rather than earning valuable experiences.

When I entered into the Church, I felt quite wonderful. I compared our deities and temples, and people' behaviour and the church people. There are some similarities and differences also. Similarities are both place are meant for peace, harmony and intergration. Both places teach the messages of dedicating ownself for humankinds and others. But, I find many differences in surrounding environments. People in the church looks like quite happier, richer and well dressed. There are no discrimination between sex, gender, castes and classes. People are found well dressed, mixed up with people. The preacher (Pastor?) attending every people individually and taking care of them. There is pray..........and pray is in music..........songs..............instruments etc. It seems quite similar to our BHAJAN. We use to pray in similar way in bhajan.

Another interesting thing that I found today is, at the end of pray, the Pastor described about need of humanitarian aid in the Myanmar after Catastrophic Nargis. They asked all the people to contribute to the relief fund to help Myanmar people. They rotated donation collecting bags, and everyone put some Euro inside. I also contributed 5 Euro. I think this amount is too little but it shows my connectivity with rescue cum rehabilitation operation.

There were team from South Korea, Indonesia and Africa, who sung prayer songs. Since everyting was in Deutsche, I understood only few words but I enjoyed the peace and cooperative people inside. It is nice to experience church activities once in life sothat people will learn and understand the views of other people. Respecting all the religions irrespective of christianity, hinduism, buddhism, islamisms etc...will reduce the communal tensions in the world and contribute the integration of society. The world is one and the people of this one world cannot be divided into conflicting (Voilence) community. All of them should work for the sake of reducing hunger, poverty, climatic changes and all forms of discrimination. My experience in very first day of church visits taught me that there is nothing to be hated in the world. All the creatures and human beings should be respected and supported at the time of need. We should not hate others, if we start to hate others then we will be also creating society to hate ourselves.

I donot know whether I did right or wrong by joining today's Church programme in the views of critics but I am satisfied with it. I have paramount respect to my own religion (Hinduism), and I will always remain in the same faith, but I will not resist myself from knowing and equally respecting other religions too.

My Small Research Work for Master Thesis

For my master thesis, I am asked to work on Tilia spps from Germany. I am doing the isoenzyme and DNA tests in identifying the spps. There are two different species of Tilia. One is Tilia cordata Mill. and another is Tilia playtyphyllos Scop. Also, there are hybrid Tilia due to crossing of these two different but compatible species. My main objective is to identify the species from collected samples.

I have collected buds from 330 Linden trees. At the moment, I have started my lab works where I have already worked with Isozyme electrophoresis which is meant to know the species. I am following the manual developed by M. Fromm (2001), the former Ph.D. student at the Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding in Georg August University, Germany.

If any of you have special suggestions related to modifying objectives, methodologies and else are kindly requested. The literatures about Linden tree (Tilia spps) will be highly appreciated and acknowledged.

The largest disaster that Myanmar experienced in history

The cyclone flooded the entire coastal plain. The satellite picture on the left was taken in April before the storm hit. The one on the right was taken Monday (5 April).
When Cyclone Nargis hit Burma on Friday it had reached wind speeds as high as 220 kilometers per hour (137 miles per hour).
Cyclone Nargis tore through Burma's Irrawaddy delta late Friday, destroying entire villages. The country's former capital Rangoon, shown here, was also battered by the storm. As of Tuesday afternoon, the death toll was given as 22,000 people.

Many of Burma's coastal inhabitants support themselves by fishing and so a large number of boats must have been at sea when the storm struck. It is still not clear what happened to those boats.
As many as 1 million people could be homeless as a result of the storm.

Myanmar has faced the massive destruction after Nargis Typhoon. According to official record, the casuaty crossed the giant number of 22 thousands, still missing numbers are more than 40,000. The infrastructure, road, telephone, electricity and drinking water facilities have been broken and it will take years to resume all the facilities in before typhoon situation. The Army Junta, didnot provide rescue operation in the early ours of incidents, but now working to get normal life. They have accepted foreign supports at now however they denied it earlier. They are reluctant to accept US aid and they donot want to allow permission to US aid worker even at this difficult situation. What a nonsense and irresponsibilities.

There are lots of people of Nepalese origin. Also, family of our TIF friends are there. We would like to extend our best wishes for the safety of our friends family and all the citizens there. May almighty provide them enough courage to defeat this problems and socks.

We would like to request Junta government also to allow foreign aid agencies to provide their financial, material and all round supports rescue and rehabilitation.

Whole hearted Congratulation to Dr. Ajaya Kunwar

Our active member Ajaya Jung Kunwar successfully completed his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Goettingen University, Germany. He has recently passed all the exams with very good grade. He has completed the highest academic degree in one's life at the age of around 30. What a joy to him and us!
Goettingeli Nepalese Samaj is proud to extend its wholehearted congratulation to Ajaya Kunwar for his success in getting Ph.D. After the long gap, we are regularly being proud in the success of our colleagues. Just after few weeks of Santosh jee's success in getting promotion, our another friend Mr. Ajaya Kunwar became Dr. Ajaya Kunwar. The transformation to "Dr." from "Mr." is not really the joke, it is the most difficult and challenging in one's life. Hard labor from his side, blessings from his family and all friends made possible for his efforts.
We know that he didnot sleep many nights, he forgot many things, many events, he lost weight, he lost smiles to bring smiles in many faces; friends, family and others.
So, we would like to thank him for bringing happiness and smiles to our faces. You worked hard alone, but brought smiles to many of us! We hope and wish that you will continue to bring smiles to people of Nepal via. your works and skills. To get one skilled person like you, is not the minor thing for the developing country like ours. We have to earn skills, techniques, money and everything working outside, but we have to work for the sake of our country to develop it. The satistfaction that we acquire working inside country will be always above in comparison to other things. As we know, it is the motto of your life.
His official decoration of the degree is going to be held in 16th May 2008. He is going to kiss a beautiful lady on that day. The name of that lady is Ganseliesel ! Sorry to disclose the mystery about his loves towards this beautiful lady. One day all mysteries need to come out in surface. That you hide for years, is now being surfaced without letting the chance go.
He was always dreaming about her (He himself shared about it!). Be aware all the maiden girls............your dream prince is going to be escaped out! Extremely sorry for disclosing the facts ! I hope that Ajaya jee will not mind about it since he is going to held it publicly in front of us. So, it is better to come out earlier than all of sudden !

Peacocks in Germany

I have photographed the peacocks here in Germany. Peacock is the national bird of India. It is very beautiful and colorful birds and very popular for its wings.
The peacock is said to be unhappy with it feet because it looks quite ugly in comparison to its body. But interestingly, its beautiful body threatens its live whereas ugly but strong legs keep it safe with fastest running.
