When our Vice President Parmananda Jha took oath in Hindi, there was big cry in and outside Nepal. Our media also broadcasted the news about popular protest about taking oath in Hindi. But, during my recent visit to Nepal, I have shot the telecasting of two news channel "KANTIPUR" and "AAJTAK" at the same time, then I found difficulties to differentiate which one is our channel and whichone is others since both channel were telecasting the Pravachan of same Indian Guru and the medium of pravachan was in Hindi.
I surprised whether Hinda has already been to our national language in New Nepal?! or it is only the fond of nepalese TV King (Socalled !) to attract indian advertisement. Our media has never been responsible and nationale in front of big amount of money getting from Indian advertiser and Indian Embassy ! Comments are requested !

Thaneshwor Rai : the founder of Nepalese KARATE
During my recent visit to Nepal, I got an opportunity to interview with the legendry Thaneshwor Rai. He is considered as the pioneer of Nepalese KARATE. He has worked hard to popularise KARATE in Nepal. During his tenure, Nepal was the topmost country in SouthAsia in KARATE. After retirement, he is living in the USA but used to frequently visit Nepal to support nepalese KARATE. Please find short interview where I repeatedly made mistake saying Taekwondo instead Karate ! Anyway, both are the branches of Martial Arts !

Brave man saved endangered python !
Python is one of the endangered reptiles in Nepal and it is protected by Law however people used to kill the snake due to fear if it is seen anywhere. As it was happened to this python in Sarlahi. The sugarcane harvesters found it on the sugarcane field. With fear hundreds of farmers gathered there and tried to kill it. The python became agressive and tried to terrify villagers with sound. There was big hue and cry. At the same time, Arjun Thapa was passing by in motorbike. He saw the crowd and experienced the situation. As he is the fond of snake, he caught the snake, covered its eye and mouth with cloths and brought it to District Forest Office, Lalbandi. At the time, I was there. I inquired about the situation and praised the brevity of this young man. Immediately, as the honour, I awarded him with 1000 NRs. cash and appreciation letter. Then, we brought it to Parsa Wildlife Reserve and released it there in its natural habitat. All the incidents were telecasted by Nepal 1 television. The television praised the brevity of Arjun Thapa and spontaneous inspiration of District Forest Office. These are the some photos of this adventourous acts of Mr. Arjun Thapa. We salute his endeavor!

Boer Goats at Goettingen University
Improved Boer Goats at Department of Animal Sciences, University of Goettingen, Germany
...................................................................by Dr. Lok Nath Paudel
The improved Boer Goat was originated in the Eastern Cape, South Africa through selection from the indigenous goat breeds of the area. This is characterised with the red-headed large framed goat with a white body. It has short and smooth hairs. It is a non-seasonal breeder and, therefore, suits most management systems of many countries of the world. These goats are famous for their multiple kidding abilities. Triplets and quadruplets are fairly common in this breed!
There are about 200 goats in the research farm of the department of animal sciences at Albrecht-Thaer- Weg 3, Goettingen. This farm is especially managed for the research work for the animal scientists. Several researches, e.g., artificial insemination with different technologies, embryo transfer, disease and parasite investigation, etc., are being carried out in the farm. Some scenes of the goats with their stables can be seen in the photos.

Fig. 3: Artificial insemination in goat (keeping the frozen semen up to the both horns of the uterus- a new technology developed in the department)
Fig. 4: Adult goats inside the stable
Fig. 5: A PhD student of the department with the farm supervisor in front of the goat stable
-The Boer Goats are famous for:
-The best meat goat of the world
-Well adapted to both intensive and extensive management systems
-Excellent quality skin and white cashmere
-Good browsers that can be used to control bush and weeds
-Low fat meat which is healthy for all people!
-Tender and tasty meat at younger stage
-Multiple births-high fertility and hence high productivity
-A male can weigh up to 25 kg and female up to 22 kg within 100 days after birth
-Average adult weight could be 120 and 80 kg for male and female goats, respectively.
Goat farming is becoming popular in Nepal these days. At present, there are about 7 millions goats in Nepal. Khari goat, which is a local breed, is supposed as the best goat for Nepalese conditions. Government of Nepal with its respective department, regional directorates and district offices has been launching various programs for the income generation of the poor farmers of Nepal. It is a well known fact that men, materials and technologies are the most important resources for any kind of successful production. Khari goat can reach up to 25 kg only after one year of its birth where as Boer goat gets the same weight when it is around four months. Looking the characteristic features of the Boer Goat, keeping the man and technology constant, people can get higher profit from the goat farming if Boer Goat (material) is introduced in Nepal. So, policymakers, researchers and development authorities are humbly requested to think upon this material for the betterment of the goat farming enterprise in Nepal. KEEP SMILING !
On his first day he was inside a church taking photographs when he noticed a golden telephone mounted on the wall with a sign that read "$10,000 per call". The American, being intrigued, asked a priest who was strolling by what the telephone was used for. The priest replied that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 you could talk to God.The American thanked the priest and went along his way. Next stop was in Japan. There, at a very large cathedral, he saw the same golden telephone with the same sign under it.He wondered if this was the same kind of telephone he saw in. He asked a nearby nun what its purpose was. She told him that it was a direct line to heaven and that for $10,000 from which he Could talk to God. "O.K., thank you," said the American. He then traveled to Pakistan, Srilanka, Russia, Germany, U.K., India and France. In every church he saw the same golden telephone with the same "$10,000 per call" sign under it. The American, upon leaving Vermont decided to travel to Nepal to see if Nepalese had the same phone. He arrived in Nepal, and again, in the first church he entered, there was the same golden telephone, but this time the sign under it was "One Rupee per call." The American was extremely surprised, so he asked the priest about the sign. "Father, I've travelled all over the World and I've seen this same golden telephone in many churches. I'm told that it is a direct line to Heaven, But in rest of the world price was $10,000 per call. Why is it so cheap here?"

Extreme Difficulties in New Nepal
Despite of great expectation, our country Nepal is being worse each day.
In the thrust of making NEW NEPAL, we are loosing peace, prosperity and well being of Nepalese people in the past. Since few years nepalese people are experiencing unprecedented strikes called by different political parties and commnities. The larger number of Indian people have already acquired Nepalese Citizenship and now they are being the decisive in each and every corner. 16 hours out of 24, people are tolerating loadshedding. There is no water in the tape, no vehicle in the road and consequently no trust upon the Government. Dirty politicians are making our life more difficult everyday. They donot want to make our life convenient, peaceful and prosperous. Just they need to grab power.
Since last week, I am experiencing the same problems. After my return from Germany, I got opportunity to use internet in a week. It is also for around one hour only ! I am not being able to reach Surkhet my duty station. I am not being able to buy the necessary goods from market ! Everywhere there is chaos, uncertainty and inavailabilities of basic goods. People are facing each day morving towards the day of his or her funeral. No one can predict what will happen tomorrow. In this difficult situation, I can provide my sincere sympathy to my fellow citizens but can do nothing for the sake of them and myself. My fate has been written by these dirty and nonsense politicians. Everything bad to worse can be done by them but it is not expected that they could do something good for me and nepalese people.
I donot know what will happen one hour later ! Anything extremely unexpected could be the result here. Anyway let's hope something good will come out from the table talk between agitating parties and government. If something right occur, then it is possible for me to return back to my duty if not there is no option rather than cancelling.
I WILL ASK ALL THE PEOPLE TO PRAY FOR THE PEACE AND UN-HINDERED LIFE OF NEPALESE PEOPLE !
Thank you very much for visiting this site !
